Connecting to a network printer
If your companies network is Windows based, the following procedure is usually all it takes to connect to a shared printer:
1. Click Start -> Network or Network Places. If you don't see this click on Start -> Computer and you will typically see network in the left pane of the explorer window.
2. Browse the computers listed until you find the computer with sharing the printer that you would like to connect to.
3. Right-click on the shared printer and click "Connect". If a window pops up asking you to confirm that you want to install the software from another computer click yes.
If you don't receive an error message the printer has been successfully installed on your computer and is now ready for use.
